Around noon, police officers were dispatched to an apartment building in the 400 block of Troup Avenue following reports of a shooting.
Inside one of the units, they discovered the lifeless body of an adult male who had sustained apparent gunshot wounds. The victim was later identified as James Wilson. News of his death rippled through the community, leaving friends and loved ones to confront the sudden and violent end to a life.
