In the quiet neighborhood of the 800 block of Barnett Avenue in Kansas City, Kansas, the afternoon of April 9, 2021, was shattered by violence. It was there that 58-year-old Kevin Rogers, a White/Caucasian male, was found dead outside his home from a single gunshot wound. Police were called to the scene shortly before 4:15 p.m. and discovered his body, marking a tragic end to his life. This incident was one of two fatal shootings to occur in the city on that same day.
