In the summer of 2009, on June 22nd, 66-year-old James Warren was found deceased in his Kansas City, Kansas home. What initially may have seemed like an isolated tragedy soon unfolded into a grim and horrifying event that claimed three other lives. Also discovered at the residence were the bodies of 41-year-old Peggy Castleberry, her 3-year-old daughter, Juanita Castleberry Bess, and 21-year-old Amanda Remmers. All four victims, including the male toddler, had been fatally shot.
