In the early evening of January 10, 2022, the life of Spencer Jones, a 25-year-old Black / African American male, was tragically cut short in Kansas City, Kansas. Responding to a call of shots fired at approximately 5:06 p.m., police arrived at the River Oaks Manufactured Home Community near South 74th Terrace and Buttonwood Avenue. Inside a residence, they discovered Spencer Jones, who had sustained fatal gunshot wounds and was pronounced dead at the scene.
