In the winter of 2021, the life of a Hispanic/Latino male, 16-year-old Carlos Ambriz-Garcia, was tragically cut short on the evening of December 22nd in Kansas City, Kansas. A sophomore at Wyandotte High School with a passion for cars and dreams of becoming an engineer, Carlos was known as a loving and protective son and brother. He often acted as a father figure to his younger siblings, even making breakfast for his 9-year-old brother in the mornings.
