In the heart of Kansas City, Kansas, a young life was tragically cut short in a senseless act of violence. Jai Barnes Jr., a 17-year-old male, was fatally shot on the afternoon of Tuesday, February 10, 2026. The incident occurred just before 3 p.m. in the 7400 block of Armstrong, outside an apartment complex that he called home.
