On a Sunday morning in Kansas City, Kansas, the life of Steven Peoples Sr., a 49-year-old Black / African American male, was tragically cut short. On September 13, 2020, police were called to an apartment in the 1100 block of Central Avenue around 9:52 a.m. Inside, they discovered Mr. Peoples deceased from an apparent gunshot wound to the head.
