On November 8, 2024, at approximately 5 p.m., Kansas City, Kansas, police officers responded to a reported shooting near North 6th Street and Splitlog Avenue in the Strawberry Hill neighborhood. Upon arrival, they discovered 21-year-old Daniel Thurman with a fatal gunshot wound; he was pronounced dead at the scene.
