On Christmas Day in 2016, a day typically filled with joy and celebration, tragedy struck in Kansas City, Kansas. Mario Sanders, a 41-year-old Black/African American male, was found with fatal gunshot wounds on North 56th Terrace. The Kansas City, Kansas Police Department promptly identified Sanders as the victim of the deadly shooting.
