In the summer evening of June 27, 2024, a tragedy unfolded in Kansas City, Kansas, that cut short the life of 17-year-old Michael Welch. Officers were called to the 4900 block of Steele Road, where they found the young man outside a residence, having been shot. Despite the efforts of first responders, Michael was pronounced dead at the scene.
