On a winter evening in Kansas City, Kansas, the life of Robert Taylor, a 34-year-old Black man, was tragically cut short. On December 20, 2020, police responded to a distressing call in the 2300 block of Grandview Boulevard around 7 p.m.. Upon arrival, they discovered a harrowing scene. A woman was found in the driveway, suffering from gunshot wounds and in critical condition. Inside the residence, officers found Robert L. Taylor, who had also been shot.
