On a cold February morning in 2019, the life of Donnell C. Preston, a 21-year-old Black/African American male, was tragically cut short in Kansas City, Kansas. In the early hours of February 7th, just after 12:30 a.m., police officers were dispatched to the 300 block of North 70th Terrace following reports of a shooting. Upon their arrival, they discovered a young man who had sustained fatal gunshot wounds. Emergency fire crews were unable to render aid and pronounced him dead at the scene.
