On a spring afternoon in Kansas City, Kansas, the life of 17-year-old Briguel Perez was tragically cut short. On May 13, 2026, Perez and an 18-year-old acquaintance, Luis Yomar Tejada Ceballos, were fatally shot in what police have described as a double homicide. The incident occurred around 3:30 p.m. in the 1700 block of South 16th Street. When officers arrived at the scene, they discovered both teenagers with apparent gunshot wounds.
