In the early hours of a Wednesday morning in Kansas City, Kansas, the life of Jourdyn Everette, a 28-year-old Black/African American man, was tragically cut short. On July 13, 2022, at approximately 2:41 a.m., police responded to a call of a shooting in the 1700 block of Stewart Avenue. Upon their arrival, they discovered Everette inside a residence, suffering from gunshot wounds. He was rushed to a nearby hospital, but tragically, he succumbed to his injuries.
