Jamal Washington, a 21-year-old Black / African American male, was fatally shot on July 24, 2019, in Kansas City, Kansas. The incident was the city's 14th homicide of the year.
That evening, police were dispatched to a residence in the 1500 block of Cleveland Avenue. Inside the home, they discovered Washington, who had sustained gunshot wounds.
