In the fading light of a Thursday evening in Kansas City, Kansas, a burst of violence shattered the quiet of the 3700 block of State Avenue. On March 28, 2024, shortly before 8 p.m., police responded to reports of a shooting. Arriving at the scene, they discovered two males inside a vehicle, both suffering from gunshot wounds.
