In the quiet evening of February 15, 2023, the life of 18-year-old Ricardo Apodaca, a Hispanic male, was tragically cut short in Kansas City, Kansas. Just after 8:20 p.m., police responded to reports of gunfire in the 2300 block of North 11th Street. Upon their arrival, they discovered the young man deceased at the scene, having sustained an apparent gunshot wound. This incident marked the fourth homicide in the city for that year.
