In the early morning hours of July 27, 2018, the life of 27-year-old Jamarious Carter, a Black male, was tragically cut short in what police have described as a targeted act of violence. Carter was at his home located in the 2100 block of South Palisade in Wichita, Kansas, with several friends when the fatal incident occurred. An unknown individual, or individuals, stealthily entered his backyard and fired multiple shots into the house through a window.
