In the early morning hours of Sunday, February 23, 2014, the life of 36-year-old Daniel Calvin Short was tragically cut short in Washington, D.C. A resident of Southeast D.C., the male victim was in the 400 block of Florida Avenue, NE, at approximately 3:30 a.m. when he was shot. First responders arrived at the scene to find him suffering from a gunshot wound. He was quickly transported to a local hospital for medical attention but succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead.
