On December 23, 2016, 29-year-old Damian Keith Thomas was shot and killed in the 2200 block of Mount View Place, SE, Washington, D.C. The shooting occurred at approximately 9:32 p.m. Police responded to reports of gunfire and found Thomas suffering from gunshot wounds. Despite efforts from first responders, Thomas succumbed to his injuries on the scene.
