Death by Force

On August 21, 2021, at approximately 8:20 p.m., the Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) responded to reports of gunshots in the Unit Block of Danbury Street, Southwest, Washington, D.C. Upon arrival, officers discovered 23-year-old Nickael Dempsey suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. Emergency medical services transported Dempsey to a local hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries despite life-saving efforts.
