In the late hours of a Monday evening in Washington, D.C., tragedy struck a 19-year-old male named Marquis Johnson. On May 15, 2023, at approximately 11:19 p.m., the sounds of gunfire shattered the night in the 2200 block of Savannah Terrace, Southeast. When officers from the Seventh District of the Metropolitan Police Department arrived at the scene, they found Johnson suffering from a gunshot wound.
