On September 6, 2015, Uyer Barnard Hooper, aged 55, was tragically shot and killed in the 6400 block of 7th Street, NW, Washington, DC. The incident occurred at approximately 3:22 am. Hooper, a resident of Northwest DC, was found with gunshot wounds and was pronounced dead at the scene.
