On July 26, 2017, Victor Noel Williams, aged 37, was found fatally shot on the Anacostia River Trail, just south of the 3300 block of East Capitol Street, SE, Washington, DC. The incident occurred at approximately 8:36 AM. Williams was discovered by police suffering from multiple gunshot wounds and displayed no signs of life upon their arrival. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
