In the early hours of Sunday, June 7, 2026, the life of 29-year-old Eligio Daniel Perez was tragically cut short in a fatal shooting in Northwest, D.C. At approximately 2:17 a.m., officers from the Third District of the Metropolitan Police Department responded to reports of a shooting in the 1300 block of 6th Street, Northwest. Upon their arrival, they discovered a conscious and breathing male suffering from gunshot wounds.
