In the early morning hours of Sunday, May 10, 2015, the life of 27-year-old Terrance Wayne Moore, a resident of Northeast Washington, D.C., was tragically cut short. Shortly before 2 a.m., the sound of gunfire echoed through the 1800 block of North Capitol Street. When police officers arrived at the scene, they discovered Moore suffering from fatal gunshot wounds.
He was pronounced dead at the location of the shooting.
Terrance, who was known to some by the nickname 'Casper,' was a father to two children, Dior and Tristian Moore. His sudden and violent death left a void in the lives of his family and friends, who gathered to remember him at a funeral service held on May 20, 2015. The investigation into his murder was immediately launched by the Metropolitan Police Department.
Despite the passage of time, the case remains unsolved. Law enforcement officials have not publicly identified any suspects or a motive in the shooting. In an effort to generate leads, the D.C. police have offered a substantial reward of up to $25,000 for any information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for Moore's death. Authorities have continued to appeal to the public for assistance, urging anyone with knowledge of the incident to come forward.
