In the spring of 2015, a life was tragically cut short in the nation's capital. Devonte Reed, a 20-year-old male from Lanham, Maryland, was fatally shot on the evening of Sunday, May 24th. The violent encounter unfolded in the 500 block of 58th Street, Northeast, a devastating event that would lead to a swift police response and the beginning of a long legal process for those accused.
