On May 24, 2015, at approximately 9:04 PM, Devonte Reed, a 20-year-old resident of Washington, DC, was fatally shot in the 500 block of 58th Street, NE. The Metropolitan Police Department responded to the scene and initiated an investigation into the circumstances surrounding his death.
