In the early morning hours of November 15, 2021, a burst of gunfire shattered the pre-dawn quiet in the 1900 block of 14th Street, Southeast in Washington, D.C. When officers from the Metropolitan Police Department's Sixth District arrived at the scene around 6:05 a.m., they discovered a grim tableau. Two men had been shot, one found in the 2100 block of 14th Street, Southeast, and the other in the 2000 block of Martin Luther King Jr. Avenue, Southeast.
