In the early morning hours of Sunday, March 16, 2025, the life of 42-year-old Marcus Kelly of Upper Marlboro, Maryland, was tragically cut short in a fatal shooting in Southeast, D.C. At approximately 3:28 a.m., officers from the Metropolitan Police Department's Sixth District responded to reports of gunfire in the 1100 block of Chaplin Street, Southeast.
