In the afternoon hours of December 10, 2018, tragedy struck in Southeast Washington, D.C., when Richard Lee Dudley, a 37-year-old male, was fatally shot. The incident occurred around 12:10 p.m. in the 2500 block of Elvans Road SE, a residential area near the Suitland Parkway.
