In the late hours of a Saturday night in Washington, D.C., the life of Doran Melvin Woodson was tragically cut short. On September 17, 2016, in the 5200 block of Just Street in the Northeast quadrant of the city, police responded to reports of a shooting at approximately 10:41 p.m. Upon their arrival, they discovered 28-year-old Doran Melvin Woodson, a Black male, suffering from gunshot wounds.
