Richard Bangura, an 18-year-old from Washington, DC, was tragically shot multiple times on the evening of August 9, 2020, in the 2400 block of Franklin Street NE. Bangura, who had recently graduated from Dunbar High School and was set to attend Temple University, succumbed to his injuries a week later on August 16, 2020.
