In the early morning hours of a Saturday in October 2016, the sounds of gunfire shattered the peace in the Brightwood Park neighborhood of Northwest Washington, D.C. When police responded to the calls at approximately 2:15 a.m., they discovered a grim scene in the 600 block of Kennedy Street NW. Two men were found suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. One of the men, Saul Flores, was pronounced dead at the scene.
