In the early morning hours of a Saturday in October 2016, the sounds of gunfire shattered the peace in the Brightwood Park neighborhood of Northwest Washington, D.C. When police responded to the calls at approximately 2:15 a.m., they discovered a grim scene in the 600 block of Kennedy Street NW. Two men were found suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.
