Death by Force

On August 18, 2021, at approximately 12:58 p.m., Anthony Mitchell, aged 43, was found inside a vehicle in the 3700 block of First Street, Southeast, Washington, DC, suffering from a gunshot wound. Members of the Seventh District responded to the scene following reports of gunshots. Despite the efforts of DC Fire and Emergency Medical Services, Mitchell succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead at the hospital.
