On February 22, 2016, Deandre Sibblies, age 21, was fatally shot in the 4500 block of Quarles Street, Northeast Washington, D.C. The incident occurred at approximately 5:38 pm, when members of the Sixth District of the Metropolitan Police Department responded to reports of a man down. Upon their arrival, they found Sibblies suffering from a gunshot wound. Despite emergency efforts, he succumbed to his injuries at the scene.
