On the afternoon of Saturday, January 12, 2019, a burst of gunfire shattered the peace in the 1700 block of Benning Road, Northeast. When Metropolitan Police Department officers from the Fifth District arrived at the scene around 2:05 p.m., they discovered a chaotic scene with three individuals suffering from gunshot wounds.
