In the autumn of 2023, a young man's life was tragically cut short on the streets of Northeast Washington, D.C. Twenty-one-year-old Carlos Haythe, a male resident of the area, was fatally shot in the Brentwood neighborhood on the afternoon of Thursday, October 12th. The incident occurred around 1:34 p.m. at the intersection of 14th and Downing Street, Northeast, where officers responded to reports of gunfire.
