In the late hours of a Wednesday in the Bronx, the sound of gunfire shattered the night's quiet on Holland Avenue. On December 22, 2021, police responded to a 911 call reporting shots fired and discovered a man lying unconscious on the ground in front of 2309 Holland Avenue. The man, later identified as 40-year-old Ryan Chambers, had a gunshot wound to his chest.
Emergency medical services arrived at the scene and quickly transported Chambers to NYC Health + Hospitals/Jacobi, but his
injury was too severe. He was pronounced deceased at the hospital. The incident occurred at approximately 11:17 PM within the confines of the 49th Precinct.
The New York Police Department has been investigating the fatal shooting of Ryan Chambers, a resident of the Bronx. To date, no arrests have been made in connection with his murder, and the investigation remains active and ongoing. Authorities have not publicly identified any suspects in the shooting death of the 40-year-old male.
