On the evening of June 17, 2024, at approximately 9:08 p.m., 16-year-old Alberto "Amir" Roque was fatally shot near his home in the Bronx, New York. The incident occurred on East 162nd Street near Third Avenue, just three blocks from his residence. Responding to a 911 call, officers from the 42nd Precinct found Roque with a gunshot wound to the head.
