On the last night of 2020, a shooting in Portland, Oregon, claimed the life of 18-year-old Jamere Malik Brown, a Black male. Just before 10:30 p.m. on December 31st, North Precinct officers were dispatched to the area of Northeast Alberta Street and Northeast Mallory Avenue after reports of a shooting.
