In the early hours of Father's Day, June 21, 2020, the life of 28-year-old Timothy Hinton was tragically cut short in a fatal shooting in Washington, D.C. The incident unfolded at approximately 2:20 a.m. in the 1400 block of Kenilworth Avenue, Northeast, where officers responded to a report of gunshots.
Upon their arrival, police discovered Hinton, a resident of Suitland, Maryland, suffering from gunshot wounds.
Alongside him was another victim, 23-year-old Larkia Izlar of Southeast, D.C., who had also been shot. Both Hinton and Izlar were pronounced dead at the scene.
The Metropolitan Police Department is investigating the case as a double homicide and has appealed to the public for any information that might lead to the apprehension of those responsible. As of the latest available information, no arrests have been made in connection with the shooting, and the police are actively searching for any suspect or suspects involved. A substantial reward has been offered for information leading to an arrest and conviction in this case.
