Death by Force

Ta-quan Pinkney, an 18-year-old from Washington, D.C., was tragically killed on September 9, 2018. He was caught in gunfire while on his way home after buying a soda from a corner store on Stanton Road. Ta-quan was a recent high school graduate and was preparing to attend the University of the District of Columbia. He worked at a restaurant to save money for his tuition and was involved in boxing and a nonprofit organization called Horton’s Kids, which helps children in the community.
