On February 8, 2004, Roderick "Hot Rod" Valentine, age 46, was shot and killed in Washington, D.C. The incident occurred in the early morning hours at approximately 3:20 a.m. on the 4400 block of Quarles Street, Northeast. Metropolitan Police Department officers responded to reports of gunfire in the area and discovered Valentine with fatal gunshot wounds.
