In the early morning hours of Saturday, September 14, 2024, the life of 44-year-old Erik Mewborn of Northeast, DC, was tragically cut short. At approximately 5:08 a.m., officers from the Metropolitan Police Department responded to a report of a man down in the 2200 block of Adams Place, Northeast. Upon their arrival, they discovered a grim scene: Mewborn was found unconscious, suffering from a gunshot wound.
