Death by Force

On July 22, 2017, Shameka Delephine Jones, a 32-year-old resident of Washington, D.C., was found unconscious with a gunshot wound inside a home located in the 2200 block of Savannah Terrace SE. The incident occurred around 8:16 a.m., and despite the efforts of DC Fire and EMS, Jones was pronounced dead at the scene. The discovery of her body prompted an immediate investigation by the D.C.
