On December 7, 2013, Lamont "Mon Mon" Hall, aged 32, was shot and killed in the rear of the 200 block of Bates Street, Northwest Washington, D.C. The incident occurred in the early hours of the morning, at approximately 12:10 a.m. Responding officers from the Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) found Hall suffering from gunshot wounds, and despite immediate attention, he succumbed to his injuries at the scene.
