In the early hours of a cold Saturday morning, on December 7, 2013, the life of 32-year-old Lamont William Hall was tragically cut short in Washington, D.C. Known to his loved ones as 'Mon Mon,' Hall, a Black male, was found with gunshot wounds in the rear of the 200 block of Bates Street, NW, near Truxton Circle.
Emergency services responded to the scene at approximately 12:10 a.m., but it was too late. Hall was pronounced dead at the scene, leaving behind a grieving family, including his parents, a daughter, and numerous siblings. The Metropolitan Police Department immediately launched a homicide investigation into the fatal shooting.
Despite the passage of time, the case remains unsolved. In the immediate aftermath of the shooting, law enforcement officials appealed to the public for assistance in gathering information that could lead to the identification and apprehension of any suspects. However, to date, there have been no arrests announced in connection with the murder of Lamont Hall, and no suspects have been publicly identified. The investigation into who is responsible for his death continues.
