On a summer evening in Washington, D.C., 36-year-old Black / African American male, Alonzo Marshall, was shot and killed. The incident occurred at approximately 5:51 p.m. on Thursday, June 29, 2023, in the 2200 block of Savannah Street, SE. When first responders from DC Fire and Emergency Medical Services arrived at the scene, they found Marshall with no signs of life and he was pronounced dead.
