In the early hours of a Sunday morning in Washington, D.C., the life of Piera Sterling Barbour, a 28-year-old male from Suitland, Maryland, was tragically cut short. On August 26, 2018, at approximately 1:53 a.m., Metropolitan Police Department officers responded to reports of gunshots in the 600 block of 46th Place, Southeast, an area not far from the Benning Road Metro station.
