In the summer of 2018, a bright afternoon in Washington, D.C. was shattered by violence that claimed the life of a young man. Monshae DeMarko Burroughs, a 22-year-old male, was in the unit block of 53rd Street SE, just off East Capitol Street, when he was shot.
