In the evening hours of a late summer day in Washington, D.C., tragedy struck a young man. Abdual Giles, a 23-year-old Black male, was in the 800 block of Chesapeake Street, SE on September 10, 2018, when his life was cut short. At approximately 8:03 PM, the sound of gunfire shattered the neighborhood's calm.
